All By Myself

It's becoming increasingly clear that Cole wants to do things by himself. Not only does he refuse your help, he swats you away, totally annoyed. So while we are trying to harness this fierce independent streak, most of the time it is a good thing.
Here he is, eating his yogurt/oatmeal/strawberry breakfast. I know, sounds totally delicious. He loves to do all of this himself. He still needs some help with the fork. He'll basically attack the plate with the pointy end until something comes up on the fork. By the time that happens, he's so intriqued by the fact that his theory has actually worked, he forgets to actually put the bite in his mouth, and decides to pull off the 'bounty', place it back on the plate and start over again. This is why I read the newspaper during lunch.....lots of time.
