Busy Busy

Another favorite activity outside is picking up various acorns and nuts that fall (or, as I believe-- are thrown at us by the squirrels) and putting them in his little wheelbarrow. Cole will search out the yard until he finds one for each hand and then carefully put them in his wheelbarrow. He'll either wheel them around a bit, or take them right back out and throw them back into the yard for another day. We're also finding that Cole is a bit of a dare devil. We have a few dropoffs in the back yard where the upper section of the yard drops to the lower and he loves the challenge of climbing up these steep little hills. depending on how steep, he does fairly well. But the real adventure comes when he runs back down. His little legs move so fast and its' almost as he is no longer controlling them himself. They straighten out and stiffen up as he bounces quickly down hill. Most of the time he miraculously makes it. I did capture a rare fall here. :) He's very distressed at getting dirt on his hands, but has learned to "brush off" pretty well.
